Nearly casual

Even on days that require jeans, a sweatshirt and a messy bun, I still feel like I need to throw on a pair of heels to pull it all together. And this pair of heels is one I've been wanting for quite some time. I first saw them on Aylson in the rose gold back in the spring, and thus the obsession began.

I could only find them in the black/pewter mix at DSW and even then, they were $80. Not going to work for me. So I waited all summer for them to finally get clearanced, but it was only a 30% markdown. When a $10 reward came my way, I was ready to make a purchase, only I couldn't find them.

DSW's website claimed they were in the store, so I searched every single clearance rack until I finally found them in a box labeled with the incorrect size, and took them home for just under $49.

The thought of tagging this post with #BloggerProblems crossed my mind, but somehow I feel like #LydiaProblems would be more appropriate.

  8. Cute! I thought this was the Old Navy sweatshirt from last year. Glad to see it's still popular this season because I love graphic sweatshirts and t-shirts right now.

  17. DSW is the best. I just scooped up some Michael Kors tall cognac boots this past weekend for a steal on clearance. You did great on your find. And love them with the casual sweatshirt.

  19. I feel the same way with a pair of silver oxfords. I have been wanting a pair and didn't want to pay the price they were being sold for. Now I can't find any.

Hopefully we will both find our shoes.

  23. I have to admit, this is not a problem I've ever had - I struggle more with tearing myself away from things that cost $490 dollars, that I know full well I can't afford. When it comes down to it, we all have our unique fashion problems worthy of a hashtag ;) These heels are perfect for dressing up a casual look, and so much the better that you wound up getting them at a bargain price!

    Great find :)
I have a post sometime soon where I tried to shoot my pictures in a marina, like you sometimes do… and actually thought to myself, "if these could only look half as good as Lydias …."
