Different names for the same thing

After being badgered persuaded by my Brother, I finally got my own domain for the blog. Now I'm "legit".

Actually, I got two domain names, first I bought my address exactly as it was, chic-onthe-cheap, but Big Bro told me that was stupid, and that a hyphenated address was a terrible purchase.

At first I protested, I mean, we live in a world where most people don't type web urls, my teenage sister googles everything, even the simplest web address gets googled, rather than typed. Apparently a lot of people don't even know what a browser is.
Yes, go watch that, it's funny.

But then I considered the simple fact that when I'm out taking photos, and someone comes over curious, and I explain to them that I have blog, and they ask me what the address is, I don't have to say, "Chic, Hyphen, on the, Hyphen, Cheap Dot....."
I can just say, "I am chic on the cheap dot com!"

Welcome to the new URL,
www.iamchiconthecheap.com

Go on, update your bookmarks.
What? I'm not in your bookmarks? Now would be a good time to fix that.

Thanks Kileen, for helping me sort out the confusion!
P.S. It seems everyone on my blog roll has been deleted... I'll rebuild a.s.a.p.

And now on to the gingham goodness:
Gingham
This button down was a good buy at $10, I've gotten a lot of use out of it this summer; this skirt however,  hasn't been worn since January. I blame my near inability to iron.

Also, for the first time ever, I've got two photos of this bracelet so that you can see it's actually two colors, coral on one side, fuchsia on the other; isn't that lovely?

  1. Congrats on the domain! I am one of those freaks who types into the browser, but of course the browser googles by default!

  7. Congratulations on owning the domain and becoming 'legit.' Love this outfit and how you keep finding new ways to style the it! So sorry to hear that the giant anchor necklace sold out at F21, I did get it in Early May to help me incorporate nautical looks w/out stripes as they aren't exactly my favorite pattern!

  9. Congrats on the new domain. I totally relate to your little sister because I sometimes find myself googling amazon or target instead of typing in the www.---.com part. Call me lazy but it's weird to type in a web address. Oh and the gingham!! I recently bought a minty green one and can't wait to remix the crap out of it.

  27. Congrats on becoming official! Next is business cards, right? I'm actually thinking about them for the Fashion Week blogger meetup, you should beg off work early and come! I really like that skirt, you should become better friends with your iron. And the light in these photos is wonderful!

  28. Congrats! you are right the dot 'blogspost' is weird.
I like how the orange looks together with the gold and the shirt is beautiful... you reminded me of all the ironing I have to do myself. at this pace I will end up in yoga pants the coming week:) nothing against them but aren't them the last resource when we don;t have clean or iron clothes?

PS: Crop pictures (the one with the shades) is beautiful.
