I go thrifting quite a bit. Frequenting my local shops is almost like an addiction. Since there are two small ones very close to me I pass by them often, and I often struggle to tell myself not to pull over and pop in, "Just for a second, in case something new came in."
In all the times I've thrifted, I haven't found too many gems. I always hear the stories from other bloggers, that practically mint condition vintage designer item for a dollar, barely worn Frye boots in their size for $3... yes, I hear the stories and they are what compel me to keep going back.
This bag and this trench however, are my diamonds. The London Fog trench was only $3 and was in my size, so that was a huge score! (Trenches aren't too hard to come by, but are always in comically huge sizes.) The bag that you have seen plenty of these past few days was $10 (For many of you Good Will thrifters, that might seem expensive, but for Coach, I didn't think twice.) I even had a woman compliment it, and when I told her I'd gotten it for $10, she said she'd give me double for it!
(Sorry, but not a chance!)
So I keep on hunting, and hoping that my next great thrift find is just around the corner.
(It's not however, at the consignment store just beyond the sunflower painted fence.)
