Sea of neutrals

In light of the previous day's events, these photos were taken by my sister, with her best friend in toe. And very quickly at that, becuase faux warm spring is over, real, cold spring has returned, and now that I've taken out the sandals, I am very reluctant to put them back.

I want to thank you for all your kind words on the street harassment, I will never understand what motivates that kind of behavior.

  1. Ick, I can't believe those guys! Some people are just horrible right on through their soul!

Glad you're still doing your thing though! Can't let them get you down! :) I really need to dig out my white jeans, because this outfit is so chic and springy it needs to be emulated. Though I'm sorry to hear that the weather isn't as gorgeous as it was last week (aka, far better than it was in California). I bet if you continue dressing for the season you want the weather will go right along with it.

    That's how that works, right?

  5. Love this entire outfit. I need some white jeans. I'm really picky about jeans... if they aren't soft I won't buy them... hate the ones that are too stiff and uncomfortable. Trench is awesome too. xo

  9. I'm with you - I don't want to put the sandals away after wearing them on vacation. In fact, I don't want to put the swimsuit away either!

  12. I'm so glad that you are back in the swing of things and didn't let some punk kids get the best of you! I would truly miss your photos. I really like your "cold weather spring" look. The sandals and clutch are a great pair to the white jeans and chambray top!

  13. ooh, that bag is to die for! I love the color blocking on it, so chic. And again, sorry about those dumb boys yelling things! It is just soo unnecessary. and quite bizarre, really.

  14. Oh my, I've just read the story... How could they be so agressive and threatening? Awful... I'd have been scared stiff... So sorry it happened to you!

I've only had peaceful approaches so far, though one guy was creepy but I could tell him off and he left. Another guy started videoing me, well then I picked my stuff up and left. It's not easy being a lonely woman in a situation that some men might think "exciting"...

On the upside, you look great! Keep up the photos, don't let them get you down!

  15. I'm glad you had your sister take pictures today. It's a shame though, not being able to go out on your own without having to worry about people possibly harassing you. Ah well.

Anywayyy. You look lovely in this neutral color palette. I see you're wearing a trench coat-- still a bit cool where you live hmm?

  26. I totally had a dream last night that I was taking your photos in New York! I guess it's good that I didn't find my sandals because now my feet won't have to be cold. If you didn't live so far away I would try to steal your sunglasses when you weren't looking. I love white sunglasses. I had two pairs when I was in college and lost both!

  27. I've been behind on my reader, but I did just read what happened--I just can't believe some people! I don't venture out to take photos, but if I did that would really shake me up too. That was nice of your sister to be your photographer for the day--they turned out great!
