I also feel I need to give a nod to Alex, who's outfit I blatantly copied. It was just too perfect, my blanket scarf arrived in the mail, it was probably the last possible day for skipping out on tights, all the colors melded into the ideal fall outfit. Though completely unseen, I've also got my merino wool cardigan layered over the sleeveless dress.
Thanks for all your kind words on Friday. While I may never reach some perfect balance, I will just do my best, every day.

I've been playing with my scarf, too. It often seems that whilst it can look perfect, the photos make the result seem big and overwhelming. I think you did a wonderful job with the outfit! x
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! I'm about to give in to the trend as well. Looks so warm and cozy!

Blanket scarves are definitely super cozy! I hardly ever wear them so I don't see a point in buying one even though I like them on other people, ha ha. Lazy me ;)

I really love your scarf, I'm realizing now that all of my flimsy "spring" scarves aren't going to cut it out here on the east coast. I I love the colors in your outfit too.

Love this look, head to toe! Classic and chic.
ReplyDeleteHow could you not give in to the blanket scarf trend? I mean, there are so few things that come around that are actually practical and keep you warm while still being stylish. I think we're all obligated to do out part to keep the blanket scarf going for as long as possible ;) Plus, plaid scarf, camel coat and black dress? Pretty much the perfect winter combination, as far as I'm concerned.

Love this look! The scarf blanket is a trend, but a good one. So comfy and warm!
ReplyDeleteI love the way your blanket scarf looks paired with the red bag! I'm pretty tempted by that scarf as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your coat and scarf together! Such a pretty combination.

Oh I keep debating on this blanket scarf and I know I would need some practice! You totally pulled it off. I just keep asking myself if one day I'll look back and wonder about that year I wore a blanket for fashions sake. haha

I think you did a great job with the scarf! I know what you mean about feeling like it is so huge. I won't care how I look with my blanket scarf come the freezing cold of winter. Those that aren't wearing them will be jealous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and stylish look! Just perfect combo! You look so stunning on these pics! Adorable outfit!

I adore all your scalloped hem items! It's such a pretty detail! Isn't it such a cozy scarf? I am still learning how to deal with the excess of fabric too though.
ReplyDeleteLove this classic look on you, great blanket scarf!! I came close to buying a similar one in Zara today but I couldn't figure out how to wrap it and none of the salespeople knew either, lol:) So I ended up passing on it but I really love them on other people.

I caved and bought a plaid (ish) blanket scarf over the weekend too! :) I love how you styled it with boots and that jacket!
ReplyDeleteI caved and bought one too which is super silly since it does not get that cold in California. I am still trying to figure out how to wear it without overheating.
ReplyDeleteGreat classic fall look!
