My only problem is, how do I keep it from blowing off my head when a determined gust of wind blows by? I'm super paranoid it's going to end up in the river one of these days.

You look adorable in that hat!
ReplyDeleteI should try hats again, I always feel like I look dumb in them, but everyone always looks so cute XD
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you could use some bobby pins to keep it down? Or just glue it like in Matilda ;)

It looks sharp with that dress! There are hat pins that can hold it down. Google it. Happy Weekend

I am so jealous of your effortless hat wearing ability...I sooo can't pull of a hat.

I love the hat! I have a tiny head and I have a hard time finding hats to fit which is annoying! I got a panama hat from JCrew and the black fabric came off before I even wore it. I was pissed and returned it. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt is a really cute and I can see why you get the compliments! I love this hat and it is great with the striped dress!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a gorgeous hat. lovely dress too!!!

I get the same problem with my vintage hats!! One of them has a little elastic that I can pull under my chin, but I feel like such an idiot if I use it! hehe

That would be terrible if it blew away! You should totally look for vintage hat pins next time you're in the consignment store. If your hair's up like this I think using one would work really well.
ReplyDeleteYou could always like, hot glue barrettes on your hat and clip them to your hair. LOL I don't know how well that would work, but you never know.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, your hat is cute. Your hats are always cute. CUTE HAT LADY!
Ohhh, and yellow and stripes are always a winning combo in my book. Yes, yes!
I LOVE YOUR WHOLE OUTFIT!! So PRETTY
ReplyDeleteIt is a great hat, Lydia. Love your entire outfit.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable hat! Looks great with your striped dress.
ReplyDeleteThat hat is pretty much perfect. I've been looking for one like it for what feels like forever - a good hat can make any outfit, I think; it's just a shame they're so tough to store or I'd have more hats than shoes! And as for it blowing off your head, don't worry too much... it's happened to me before and I've always been able to catch up with my runaway hat :)

Adorable outfit!
ReplyDeleteI wear a lot of hats too and I have the wind problem as well...just hold on for dear life! Hehe :)

I am a huge fan of hats too and this one looks gorgeous on you! I loooove it with that striped dress! I have the same problem when I wear hats at the beach, the wind always blows them away :(
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite outfits! But I'm such a sucker for stripes and hats!
ReplyDeleteStunning outfit!!

That striped dress is so nice, and I really like your hat! :) I have no idea how to wear hats on windy days either - I'm usually always holding it onto my head, haha! :)
ReplyDeleteAway From Blue
classic chic! and the pop of yellow is perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt's not only the hat that makes you look darling, Lydia! It's also that perfect striped dress and those fab yellow touches in the jewelry you're wearing ;) Love this look! My friend sometimes wears a sunhat and hers has a stretch band inside that sits tight around her head. It stays put all day quite good, but I can't imagine it's the most comfortable solution. Hope you had a lovely weekend. xo Nikki
ReplyDeleteLyddie this is the perfect mix of chic and casual. That striped dress is super flattering on you and the yellow necklace is the perfect accessoire to glam it up. I love your style so much :-)

ReplyDeleteI know back in the day they used hat pins, but those things always looked scary to me
I mean where exactly are you pinning that pin?
Brett
