I love J.Crew. I know I am far from alone in this, relishing their classic designs, exciting prints, and most of all, the styling. Always unique, sometimes surprising, impeccable layering.

But J.Crew is expensive. I might even say ridiculously overpriced, at times. Which is why this outfit makes me so happy, because my top, skirt, and cuff are all J.Crew, all purchased secondhand at a fraction of of what they retailed for.

    Perfect outfit for the Summer! Sometimes I buy J.Crew on eBay and I've found some really good stuff at great prices. I rarely find anything J.Crew at the thrift stores. Once a month though I have been splurging on one new item from the store and I usually find that when I do that I wear that piece of clothing more often, i don't know if it's because I pay full price or because I loved it enough to splurge on it. I have a J. Crew store about 10 minutes from my house so now I don't have to pay shipping. Also they have some really good sale prices once in a while, if you can find things on your size (which is really hard). =)

    I love J. Crew too but I agree- generally outside my budget!

    I scored some great stuff on sale there recently though- love the thrill of a good bargain!

    YAY!! LOVE that you got everything at a fraction of the cost. I love J Crew too, but I hate it for the prices. Sometimes, I have to justify to myself why I'm buying a piece when it's only on first sale (not sale on sale). Anyhow, your J Crew outfit is FAB!!! And LOVE those gorgeous sandals - very J Crew! ;-)

    I have to agree that J.Crew prices are on the high side which is why I shop their sale and their Factory store. You're so good at finding great pieces at thrift stores.

    Amen!!! There is a Goodwill in the town I work in that is always packed to the top with J. Crew. It is the only thrift store I've found like it and I love that! Your outfit is so pretty and well put together as always Lydia.

    Oh heyyy I remember this top! I can't even tell you how much money I used to spend at J.Crew... almost my entire closet was J.Crew. Though this was back in the day before the price hikes and before Michelle Obama made them super famous. Now I hardly ever shop there any more because the prices are killer :(

    Jcrew is one of those stores that I have a love hate relationship with! Mainly because their items are REALLY expensive and a lot of those expensive things are made in China (I had qualms about this before my shopping in the USA adventures). The quality doesn't always reflect the price. That being said, I don't mind buying it second hand because the price is way better. Cool to see you got these cute items!

    Oh, don't get me started on J. Crew pricing... I first discovered and fell in love with J. Crew in August 2007 (I was obviously living under a rock before then.) The prices were high then, but not totally unreasonable. Fast forward to Jenna Lyons joining the company the following year and the price point has gone up, up, up ever since! Luckily they still have decent sales, but I would be thrilled if I could find some of their pieces secondhand - I love everything in this look!
