My Segway has a first name

I would go so far as to say that my number one objective for my visit to D.C. was to go on the Segway tour. Ever since I found out such a thing existed three years ago, I set my heart on going.

Because we didn't think to book the tour prior to arriving in D.C. the only time we could go was 6 pm, so I hope you enjoy my night photos!

Riding the Segway is really fun, really easy, and you feel a bit like a celebrity as people point, take photos and generally look at you like, "Damn, I wish I were on a Segway!"

Yes, it's a super touristy thing to do, and $70 for the three hour tour isn't really a bargain, but I'd definitely do it again.

And yes, my Segway was named Lady Freedom.

So that was everything from the evening, but for the day time I actually wore my shorts and I felt like those needed to be posted as well!

    Ok, that looks super fun! I rode a Segway when I visited Montreal a few year ago, but we didn't do any cool tour like this.

    Segways are SO much fun! I actually used to sell them, and I got to ride around in one all summer. It's amazing how the controls feel almost psychic...at a certain point you are just *thinking* about how fast you want to go, then suddenly you're moving that fast!

    How fun! I remember when I was at uni there was this tall, long-haired guy who would ride around on a Segway wearing a long wizard robe. He was kind of awesome. Love the shorts, by the way :)

    Was it called "Segs in the City"? last time I was there we saw signs for that tour and I thought the name was delightfully clever! Though my friend can't ever remember it and calls it "sex on the segway". That would be far less practical....

    I have never been on a Segway but it's probably way better than walking. The metro stops always seem so far away from each other! I love the night photos. They're so dramatic!

    Leopard and red... must think about this. I have a red belt around here somewhere...

    My friends boyfriend has one of these things and he has taken some really nasty spills off of it. Of course I am sure he fell off while doing something stupid. Anyway, you look very non touristy in this outfit, very fierce :)
