I couldn't possibly not wear it. Like when you hear a catchy new single on the radio and you need to hear it again, and again. Of course by the end of the summer you usually end up hating that song, so maybe it's a bad example; or maybe if I keep this up, I will over play this trend. (At the moment Penelope is wearing my cream pleated skirt, the navy and white gingham tied off, a red belt and the floppy hat, so that will definitely be getting worn soon.)
This is the debut of the striped maxi that I picked up at H&M last month - I actually remembered to use the Four Square first time check in discount, so I got 24% off. (It would have been way better if I'd thought of it when I got the scalloped blazer, but what can you do?)
The button down was borrowed from my sister, and I would not be able to button it if I tried. Normally she would yell at me for "stretching out her clothes" but since she continually raids my closet, she has no choice but to let me borrow whatever I want.
This necklace is my DIY version of Anthropologie's Sweet Drops.

This is a great dress and a great look for you! I love the necklace as well. Yes, I hope that the tied button down trend doesn't end up like new singles. If I hear Tik Tok one more time . . . .
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful I love the beach vibe you have going on. That dress is similar to the olive and black one Target has.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to do a DIY version of the necklace your wearing.

I think I must be the only blogger on the planet who has never visited an Anthropologie store or their website, but I like this look very, very much. I found a similar maxi recently in a thrift and bought it. This look gives me all sorts of ideas of how I might style it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd that necklace you made is gorgeous.
You have such a great figure, yo. And that dress is fantastic. I can't understand why I can never find anything worthwhile when I go to H&M, but bloggers across the world find such amazing awesome things that I love. Brownie points for basically matching your bag, nails, and necklace, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the color pop and the belt touch, it's discrete but it looks awesome.
