Truthfully, I've never gotten much use out this skirt skirt. When I bought it I liked the color, that it was Free People, and the fact that it was on clearance more than I liked the length.
In the past, I've rolled up the waist band and hidden it under a belt.
I've been trying to clean out my closet and add more things to the blog shop, I'm thinking this skirt might end up there.
I always secretly hope that the photographers reflection gets caught in sunnies in photos, especially old photos. Getting that small glimpse of the person taking the photo makes it so much more intriguing.
So as you can see, today I let my sis take my photos. I really didn't feel like lugging my tripod all the way to the beach - since we walked and it's about 25 minutes away.
It was really windy.

Maybe it's because this is outside your comfort zone and I'm totally not used to it but I think you look super cute!

I love this look on you. For going outside the norm, you absolutely nailed it. I love the color of the skirt, but if you don't wear it often, it's probably best to get rid of it. Although, it does seem as though you've found a way to style it, so maybe it can stay?!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this look. I've been looking for a new summer hat and yours is perfect. My search continues....
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that you can keep you hair looking good for four days!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and wonderful location! I think you should keep that skirt just try to style it a couple more times. DON'T GIVE UP!! :) The outfit turned great I especially love your turquoise necklace.
ReplyDeleteI've gotta ask: did you walk all the way to the beach in those shoes? If so, I want your feet. Mine are so sensitive. I've barely been wearing anything but sneakers, boots, and flat sandals lately.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt. It's fun! If you do put it into the shop, let me know for sure! But I do echo another commenter: don't give up!
P.S. I'm IN LOVE with your skirt from the last post. Dying here.
look at your sassy, skinny self! i'm sorry, but the color of that skirt is hitting a very strong chord in my heart... it's soooo fresh and fantastic, especially with (hello) that fab necklace. i love this ensemble!

ReplyDeleteFirst, your sister did a great job with the photos. You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSecond, I am in love with your shoes!!
And third, did I tell you how good you look in turquoise?
This bohemian outfit is divine. I'm going to need to get a fedora like that now! Love, love, love! :)

p.s. Would love to stay in touch - following you now!
It looks so sunny and fun where you are. It's cold and rainy here, but then again, I know I'm in Seattle, so....
ReplyDeleteYou're getting a TON of wear out of those shoes, my dear. I may need to search out a pair. I've been looking for the perfect spring summer heel. Love the color ;)
beautiful photos and i love the addition of the fedora!
ReplyDeletecute & little
come check out the color brigade!
I love those shoes! They are great! You look great -- it all works together. I say keep the skirt until you are sick of the shoes because they match perfectly.
ReplyDeleteOh lovely!! Very different than what you usually wear but sort of easy breezy carefree!
ReplyDeleteEven though I am always drawn to looks like this, I tend to avoid it because of my own short, hourglass figure. You have persuaded me to give boho another go. :)
ReplyDeleteNice casual outfit. Love the turquoise beads with it.
ReplyDeleteBrown and coral are two colors that match perfectly!!!Great outfit!

I think the skirt looks amazing on you! Great pics by the sis today :)
ReplyDeleteGosh that outfit is so perfect, I LOVE this wonderful skirt. You look great!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit amd the colour of the skirt. I find maxi length skirts difficult to wear too and have to roll them up
ReplyDeletethis outfit is sooo cute though!!!
ReplyDeletei cant believe you dont like the skirt?!?! I think it looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteI like the skirt, I like the colors.... how come you don't wear this skirt more ??!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you should give it more tries before letting go.
BTW this is such a beautiful setting--
This is a very different look for you, but I absolutely love it! Everything about it just screams summer, especially that gorgeous coral skirt- don't you just love it when something that you initially didn't know what to do with suddenly fits into your wardrobe? You would fit in perfectly at a music festival in this ensemble, and the fabulous accesorries- hat, necklace, belt- are just the icing on the cake. Beautiful!

What a beautiful look. And the weather looks like it was incredible. I need that skirt!
ReplyDeleteI love the deviation! That skirt is such a vibrant shade of coral and I love how you paired it with the pop of turquoise. Your sister did a great job, too. these photos are lovely. (I really want a beach day!)
ReplyDeleteI love the sunglasses picture where you get the illusive glimpse of the photographer. The color of that skirt is absolutely beautiful.

Such great photos today...love the bohemian look on you...the turquoise necklace and the fedora look great on you.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your necklace.
ReplyDeleteHow funny!! I have this exact same skirt and it hasn't seen too much wear in recent years! It's nice, but it's a bit hard to style. I like that you did the untucked belted shirt. I'll have to remember the combination for when the weather gets a little warmer here. And girl, if this is your 4 day old hair, I'd love to see things on the first day! I can't even imagine what my hair would look if it were not washed in 4 days!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL colors and textures in this outfit. love it!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, you look so summery!

I'm definitely guilty of buying things because they're such a great deal and then not wearing them much! But I do love how you styled this skirt--those colors look great together!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun look on you, love it <3
ReplyDeleteThe skirt looks perfect for those hot days, sticky days when you want something cool and long. And the colour is perfect too
ReplyDeleteI am totally into your colorful look! I like the way you combine all those colors and still keep it beautiful! Good job! ;)
ReplyDeleteAre you sure it doesn't flatter your figure? If you are then we are looking at two different ladies here. The girl in these pics looks HOT!
ReplyDeleteThe colors, the hat,l everything it fantastic!
Cheers,
Bre
Wooo you live near the beach! I like this skirt but I completely understand about longer lengths and unflattering, sigh. But that necklace, and those shoes! You look very bohemian beachy :)
