Black and white and leopard all over

Today the Lucky Bag's luck was put to the test. I was out running errands and stopped to get a coffee. I went to Dunkin Donuts, where I almost never go because I am a Starbucks girl. I like my coffee strong and Dunkin never gets your order right.
I ordered a mocha latté and put it in the cup holder. Then I took a wide turn and the cup dumped over, spilling its contents all over the Lucky Bag.
Cursing myself and the heavens, I pulled over to try and mop up the mess as best I could with a few crumpled napkins. Bemoaning the fact that of course it had to happen to the new, expensive even at 60% off leather bag and not to one of my many, many synthetic bags.

But here is the lucky part. My mocha latté turned out to be a regular latté (honest to god, they never get my order right!) - so no chocolate, no sugar, no sticky mess.
By the time I got home to assess the damage, I couldn't even see a single stain from where the coffee had spilled. Crazy.

    It sounds like that Lucky bag is a lucky bag indeed. I lost one of my favorite bags to a Chinese doughnut incident a few years back and now I'm super paranoid about having my leather bags near food and won't carry a suede one at all.

    and on a side note: i once ruined a VERY expensive bag at a bar crawl. here's the tip: get a wet paper towel/wash cloth, wipe down the ENTIRE thing, and the color will all fade to be the same. seriously, no joke. you just need to make sure it's saturated the same all over. and yes, the bag will change color, but at least it will be even :) tried and true!

    Hey, that's awesome! Maybe that's the thing about expensive bags - the leather is 'finished' properly and can handle spills? I know my one good leather handbag is like that. I once dripped coffee all over it and it like, "what? is that all you've got?"

    First, I love your earrings. Second, sequined beret = awesomeness. It looks like Lucky bag might be waxed leather, which is very lucky indeed!
    You've already been up and to Dunkin Donuts and I haven't even dressed yet. I feel like such a slug :P I definitely won't get to so a bonus Saturday black and white post but after this week I totally feel like doing a regular black and white feature... maybe Monochrome Monday? haha

    So your lucky bag really is lucky! Dunkin donuts never gets my order right either, and the coffee is weak. I still prefer it to Mcdonalds coffee which is now the only one within walking distance of my house. Sigh.

    Have I told you lately how stunning your photos are. Your outfits are always lovely, but you really show them off in such a pretty/clean way. Great job.

    disaster averted, very nice! but girl, I have to say, I LOVE dunkin donuts coffee (just the regular kind) they put the perfect amount of cream and sugar in for me...i miss it so much.
