The mustard cords! They have really offered so much more to me than I ever would have thought possible of a yellow pant.
If there was ever a naysayer of yellow pants, it was me. Hypocrite I may have been, now I am a convert, these cords have done a lot for my wardrobe over the past year.
Though perhaps not noticeable at first glance, there are actually quite a few colors tucked into this outfit. Red pumps, wine socks, turquoise earrings, and a multicolored flower ring.

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who believes in saying 'rabbit' the morning of the first day of every month! I was already on the phone with someone when I remembered, so I just said it quietly under my breath. I hope it still counts!

ReplyDeleteps-emailing you later tonight re: white denim for next week!!

Yay for a yellow week! I've posted more than once on cream and mustard, one of my fav color combos!
ReplyDeleteI like the almost-matchingness of the shoes and socks, and of course the yellow cords are so delightful. I, too, used to be a yellow naysayer until I was 16 and gifted a summer kimono in mustard with a floral pattern. Of course I was in Japan so naturally they had the perfect shade of yellow for Asian skin tones!
ReplyDeleteYou totally inspired me to get a pair of mustard yellow cords for myself (mine are from Old Navy). In the past, I used to avoid yellow because I thought it totally washed out my olive skin, but after seeing you rock them I gave it a try and I love them!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great mix of colors! I approve :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could bring myself to wear yellow pants though...It reminds me of the uniforms I used to wear in Catholic school, haha.
I want me some mustard cardis.. but after seeing you rock these cords, I NEED me some mustard cardi and cords!
ReplyDelete=)
See, you're an inspiration!
Stay Happy and Positive!

You are so colorful, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI wore a yellow cardigan yesterday - not sure i have enough yellow in my wardrobe to do it for an entire week.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous - love the trousers
I only own yellow shoes (I am reluctant to wear colors so close to my own complexion shade) but I'm wearing yellow with you in spirit.
ReplyDeleteAs usually, you are rocking these cords.
I'm a bit frightened of yellow, but these are great. The colour is so warm and uplifting!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a mustard colored dress, can't wait to wear it when all the snow here melts away (hopefully Friday!). I'm glad the mustard cords have been come an important closet staple for you, you look beautiful in them! Love the mix of other colors too, the wine and the turquoise.

These cords remind me of a pair of BONGOS i had back in college. I stopped wearing them because an idiot said to me that I looked like a bee.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking pretty.
Throw a little turquoise into anything and you know I'm sold!
ReplyDeleteHi Lyddie! I emailed you but also wanted to check in here to let you know I scheduled you in for Monday for the white denim post. I hope that's okay - let me know if you need to reschedule. Can't wait to see how you style it!! Yippee!!
