The striped skirt was an easy choice, and I got to play up the nautical elements with the woven belt and anchor necklace.

Small edit - I had posted the same photo twice, what no one noticed?
Now, this is very important; I found this pair of shoes in TJMaxx the other day and fell madly in love but they did not have them in a size 8! With the determination of one of Cinderella's ugly step-sisters I tried to force my foot into the size 7, but much like Drizella and Anastasia, I was not able too. If anyone knows where to find these in a size 8, please let me know!
The brand is G by Guess and the name of the shoe is Farleigh-T
I love the earrings! They are a beautiful shade of blue!
ReplyDeletethose shoes are fabulous! DId they have them in a 10??!?!?!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! YAY for the beach!

Haha. Still chuckling over Inspector Shoeseau! I adore these shoes. You've made me want to try my TJ immediately for an 8.5!
ReplyDeletePs. loving this tropical inspiration the last two days. The nautical accessories are perfect for your ocean look!
Those shoes are really cute. I'm an 8 too, and it can be hard to find deals on shoes.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful blue outfit which makes me think of the ocean..you did a wonderful job!!
ReplyDeleteoh those shoes are dreamy. But not quite as dreamy as you in this blue color. You can really wear any color at all, can't you?
ReplyDeleteI love how out of everything going on in the outfit, the earrings really pop and catch your eye right away
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!! I love the anchor necklace paired with the belt.
ReplyDeleteGreat skirt, was it a recent purchase?
ReplyDeleteI really like how this nautical outfit is a bit more subtle than a lot of the other styles lately. I love the bolder ones as well, but I like how this one's softer. :D
ReplyDeleteYou must find those shoes!! They are too cute!

You look gorgeous in blue! I really love the stripes.
ReplyDeleteThis might be one of my favorite outfits of yours! Have I said that already? Seriously, I love the way the blue stripes of your skirt match your shoes, and then all of the navy throughout. So cute! And you're so ready to sail away.
ReplyDeletei love that gold belt!
ReplyDeleteI love how your outfit is monochrome but you don't look like a blueberry. It totally works! Love those shoes!

P.S. I added you to my blog roll today: Blog Love
Inspector Shoeseau here!! If I spot those mothers in my neighborhood in an 8 you can call them yours. I'm going through Marshall's in a day or two, and will try to drop into a TJ Maxx in the OC that's pretty massive.
ReplyDeleteI need my shoe sniffing cats on the case, but sadly they have wussed out due to the 40 degree temperatures.
Holy crow those shoes are the shiz!!
xo,
Carrie.
I mean Inspector Shoeseau
I know how you feel needing a tropical getaway although we don't have snow here. I love navy blue, it looks amazing on you. Those shoes are great too, I hope you manage to find some.
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit! It's fun without being too self-consciously kooky. As for the shoes... sometimes you can stretch leather out by putting ziploc bags of water inside them then putting them in the freezer. I've not tried it myself though.
ReplyDeletenice outfit!
ReplyDeleteyou look so cute!
Beautiful outfit, those colors look really good on you!
ReplyDeleteI loveee the monochromatic blue, especially the skirt! and love how you played up the nautical with youraccessories :)
ReplyDeletehilarious :) :) i hope you find them!!!

your outfit is adorable! can I ask if you got that necklace recently? I've been looking for nautical jewelry online on etsy but it's a tad pricey which I know F21 is not. Thanks! -adeline

Mmm tropical getaway. I can see the inspiration, and it works despite the cold temperatures and snow! Genius. Love the anchor necklace especially.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the shoe issue! I haven't seen them anywhere and our TJMaxx is horrible, so I don't think we'd have them here. Good for you for not buying them, though. I have a tendency to buy shoes I like if they're on sale, even if they don't fit. My feet shrunk a whole size a few years ago, so I like to think that maybe they'll fit...someday.
love the inspiration look here, i wish it was warm enough for a getaway to our local beach. I hope you can find those shoes in your size, they really a great looking pair of kicks!
ReplyDeleteI like your inspired by nature posts!
ReplyDeleteI can totally see the ocean in this outfit and the small sailor like details such as the gold tone belt...
Love the skirt and shoes. You've got such a knack for color - absolutely stunning.

ReplyDeleteCan't believe how well-matched your tights and skirt are. Shoe size....hmm, I'm a 7.
ReplyDeleteHee on the Inspector Shoeseau. Hilarious. Sorry I can't help you and your tiny feet (I wear a size 10), but I hope you find them. They're very cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love this outfit - the skirt is perfect and I just love tonal matching.
such pretty inspirations, you are making me miss my closet (lol). your anchor necklace is the perfect final touch.
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit!! Linley at Dwelling & Telling found those shoes at TJ Maxx, too. They are amazing!!! Hopefully you are able to find them in your size soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your skirt! I'm obsessed with stripes, and that skirt is fantastic! And I can see why you wanted those shoes. They're adorable! Good luck finding them in your size.
