Under the Pink

I am free to change the way things are.

At bit out of order here, but here are my trees, in their peak pink glory. For a chilly spring day I pulled out some old favorites. The trench has of course been on constant repeat, both with and without the rain, it's a nice weight and I appreciate have the longer length. The yellow sweater has three quarter sleeves and I love the inherent preppiness of pairing it with navy cropped pants. Yes, I'm wearing nude trouser socks, my feet get so cold, every little bit helps. After a day in the 80°s over the weekend, going back to 60° just feels so chilly.

  4. Major tree envy over here- holy blooms! And that's why you gotta love a trench- perfect for those days when spring retreats but you refuse to bundle up in a winter coat!

  6. We had a dip in the temps too recently, and I am not OK with it! But that trench is the perfect layering piece! And those trees behind you are amazing.

  12. A) I am jealous of how great your trees look! B) I just got back from Mexico and Kansas was about 40 degrees cooler so now I have NO idea what the heck to wear!

  14. Superb, the colors look so good with the beautiful trees.
I've noticed I don't own many yellow garments and was just looking at one in that same shade.

  15. We're just recovering from a cold snap here wherein I was forced to revert back to full socks everyday...and I was not a fan! I definitely see the preppy inspiration of this as well, it's a really cute look.

  17. Sometimes trouser socks, or nude tights, are just so necessary. It's true no one thinks they're very stylish but honestly, sometimes it's just not practical to go without! Many women still wear them in Europe and quite frankly, I just think it's sensible. I do love how spring-like this outfit looks with the white and yellow shades paired with the trench coat, despite the actual temperature when the photos were taken :)
