Let it be mine

"I choose to welcome all the good things that life has to offer."

For anyone who had a three day weekend, I'm super envious. Today came far too quickly, and as lovely as Easter was, I feel like I should have an extra day to eat cream pie for breakfast.

I must confess, while I was trying to continue with my shopping ban, I succumbed to the holiday weekend sales and placed a few orders. This scalloped off the shoulder top, this lace cami, these sandals, this bodysuit, and a few other things. I'm not sure what I'll end up keeping yet, and I already feel a smidge guilty about the purchases. I've got to do that closet clean out though. Next weekend?

Did you take advantage of any of the holiday sales this weekend?

  1. Why do I look like a dweeb when I wear a scarf around my neck but you have a scar around your neck and bag and it looks FABULOUS? You should add that as a skill on LinkedIn because not everyone has that. Also, out of everyone who has that bag, your styling of it is always my favorite!

  2. I love that you are styling a scarf no just around your neck but also on your purse---it's so lovely, Lydia!!
I've been trying to keep on the shopping ban! Why is it so hard??? Ugh...

  4. Don't hate me --- I get a 4 day weekend for Easter...so I'm currently at home revelling in having one last day off before I have to go back to work. I'm actually incredibly thankful this year for the time off - I've got big enough with the baby that sleeping is just a nightmare and I'm perpetually tired!

  6. Since every day is currently a holiday for me, the long weekend actually passed by as if it was nothing at all - but I admit, I was dismayed to find that in France, they seem to have done away with the long weekend, as well. Aside from the postal service and a few other public organisations, everyone worked both Friday and today, which is a change since we lived here and, not for the better as far as I'm concerned. But since you only had a regular weekend, I think treating yourself a bit was probably okay ;) But then again, since I went to an outlet mall this week and treated myself more than a bit, I may be rationalising slightly...!

  7. I will make you envious: I had a four day holiday ;)
Love the mix here and wonder how these two scarves would look together layered on the neck.

  12. We had a 4 day weekend here, Friday and Monday were holidays. Not that it made much difference for me, still on maternity leave, haha! :)

How do you manage to look so stylish with not one but two scarves?! I can never pull off a neckscarf and you've got it and the scarf on your bag and you look great. I always worry more than one scarf is too much on me. :(

Hope you are having a great week and had a nice Easter.

  13. I'm so guilty of shopping. I've been buying this and that- few tops , sunglasses etc way too much. I wanted to say no I didn't got anything this weekend, but I did and I can't believe. I never though that I would buy a dungarees, because I thought I could never pull it off. Well I still not sure if I can, but I fell in love. I must be going crazy. And they are white. I never have had anything white denim and now I have pair of dungarees and denim shirt. I so want to fill my wardrobe with white and pretty tops. At the moment I'm very struggling with ootd because of the weird weather what have been going on here. You look so chic, I love your vintage scarfs.
