Daffodil

My favorite of the seasons, Spring is full of new life, growth, and fresh starts. Not to say that Spring isn't full of it's ups and downs, volleying between those gorgeous sunny 70° days and the cold wet 40° days, which tend to last all week.

Still, when I see those first daffodils sprout up, all sunny and yellow, it's hard not to smile and be thankful. I was hoping that the trees here would have popped on this day (trying to coordinate with my blouse), but as you can see, they weren't quite there yet. They have since, and I'll be sharing those photos next week. The trees in their pink glory are something I look forward to every year.

  2. As much as I like winter, I do admit that I really enjoy seeing the first blossoming of flowers in spring - there's definitely something about it that puts a smile on my face. And you picked such a perfect top for being amongst some blooming flowers.

And I just picked the daffodils from my backyard yesterday since no one else can see them there anyway. hehe

  4. You know, I think a lot of people who, well, for lack of a better description, aren't bloggers, think it's silly the way we chase after things like cherry blossoms, but to be honest, I think it's made me appreciate the best things about every season so much more because I actively look forward to them and seek to enjoy them when they come each year. Your blouse is such a lovely tribute to cherry blossoms even if they weren't around for these photos, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you wore with the blooms in the background, too ;)

  9. Oh yes the daffodils - great symbol of spring. Like how you played off of their yellow colour with your red top. Thanks for sharing!

  10. I so know what you mean, but looking at these photos your lovely blouse looks wonderful against those bright yellow daffodils. I find so exciting the change to every season, but I absolutely agree those colder days are way too long here too. I can't wait for shoes, dress and t-shirt weather.
