Holiday party ready

It's never too soon to start thinking about outfits for all the upcoming holidays, and since we are practically two weeks into November, it's definitely time to start planning. While I try to be more mindful about purchases for myself this time of year, and typically try to abstain, the one loophole comes when I've got holiday party to dress up for. This year I'd love get a little black velvet dress, and perhaps treat myself to one of these Vivienne Westwood bags; I love the faux crocodile on the one I've included below and I think the textured leather is the perfect answer to breaking up all the black. Also, those sculptural heels have me wishing Zara's shoes actually fit me...

There is so much I love about the holidays, shopping for gifts, wrapping them, baking cookies, bringing home the tree and enjoying the beautiful smell and the soft glow it casts when it's all lit up, but of course the best part is being with friends and family, and having a wonderful reason to wear something special.

  3. I would love to step into this whole outfit and head to a holiday party. The velvet dress is so perfect, I may just have to pick one up with the H&M gift card I have laying around. And those shoes! What can I say, I'm in love with everything about this look :)

  7. I scored a black velvet dress months ago and I have yet to wear it... while I have no idea what I will be doing for the holidays all I can say is that I know that if I do end up going anywhere I really do not need to go out and get anything. Just last week I realised I have over 8 new dresses that have yet to be worn...
