Sweaters are better

Spring does what it wants. Yesterday morning I woke up to a beautiful snowfall. All the schools had a delay and I was wishing I had one to so I could have gone out and photographed the trees by the duck pond and maybe taken some outfit photos too, as by the time I got home there was barely a trace of the snow left.

All too often I'm hasty to wear more summery clothes at the first signs of spring, but as someone who is perpetually cold, I know I'll be much happier wearing sweaters and boots, unless it actually happens to be 60° out.

  2. Even though it's not a spring look, I totally get the need for the layers. I also am perpetually cold, so I will always wear a jacket just in case. Lovely look!

  3. Spring does have a mind of its own, doesn't it!? It has felt like summer for the past week, and now it feels like winter again!

  4. I always wish we could have a gradual warming of the temperature, but that never ends up happening. I struggle to stay warm while dressing for spring too, but all too often I just revert to layers like you. I hate being cold!

  5. I'm always cold too. I keep a jacket in my car. Love the leopard clutch.

  6. It was definitely very cold here yesterday too, no snow though. I wore a huge infinity sweater scarf once again, and my puffer coat.

Love this chic monochromatic look Lydia. The jacket and clutch are gorgeous. I need a cheetah clutch like that. =)

Come join my new linkup on Thursday, if you like. Welcome by. Thanks, Ada. =)

  9. The weather is definitely erratic here in KC, too. It snows on Saturday night but is like 70 degrees today.

    Loving that leather jacket!

  16. I know, I wish those delays and snow days extended to "regular" jobs too, right?! I'm the same way--wanting to reach for all my spring stuff, but then those 40 degree days hit and I'm regretting my lack of socks. Love this cute, cozy look!

  20. When I saw the snow the other morning, I thought, "When did this happen??" I'm always tempted to do bare legs when it gets just a little bit warmer, but yesterday I resisted because I knew it was going to be cold during the times I was actually out and about! Love your sweater in this post. It looks very cozy :)

  21. Sweaters are always better. I am loathe to admit it but I wear mine almost year round, usually only retiring them from mid-June to early September - and even then, I usually keep a cardigan or two out for during the day. This sweater is one of my favourites in your collection, as I'm sure you know since I say that every time you wear it, but for me it never gets old, especially paired with a leather jacket.
