One week

This is what I wore on the first. White jeans, fresh start. Perfect outfit for making sauce and frying meatballs right? Sean made me change to cook, because while I may like to live dangerously, he didn't want to hear me crying about marinara on white denim and a silk blouse.

I have a habit of always cooking in the worst possible outfits. I like to joke that if I were to start a cooking blog I'd call it "Cooking in Cashmere". Unfortunately someone already registered that domain, so my hopes of a future cooking blog are dashed. Perhaps it's for the best, I really don't have the patience to photograph food when I'd much rather be devouring it.

  4. Well, aren't you on trend with this year's must-have colors?! I always change before cooking AND I wear an apron. I'm way too paranoid that I'll spill on myself!

  5. This outfit definitely looks fresh against the gray background. So beautiful! When I read your title, I thought of the barenaked ladies song. And then it was stuck in my head.

  8. Seriously. When I was trying to incorporate my love for food and cooking into my blog, I would always forget to take photos or be so hungry that I didn't have the patience to stage my food for photos. I love this outfit! Glad it didn't get "sauced"!

  9. Cooking in Cashmere - I love it! I don't cook much but I admit that on the days that I do, I tend to forget that I'm wearing a white blouse and white pants before I get started. To be honest I haven't had many accidents but there have been a lot of near misses. And this outfit is way too gorgeous to ruin with marinara sauce, the soft shades all look so lovely together and I'm still unbearably jealous that you got a pair of those flats, I'm undoubtedly going to mention it every time you wear them ;)

  13. This look makes me daydream about Spring, so pretty and soft colors. Cooking is dangerous for my outfits too, if I do remember I pull out apron. It never goes with my outfit yet it saves it.

  14. Yeah so my mom and I totally bought ourselves pom poms. She checks on your blog weekly and she fell in love with the pom poms: she got herself a grey one and me a white, so expect to see that soon... :D

Heh, that aside, I really, really love the colors of this outfit! You pull of pastels and light neutrals so well, my goodness. This outfit looks so very soft!

  24. I love everything about this--the soft colors, white jeans for a "fresh start" and those lace-up flats you found! I'm a mess when I cook too and I always wear an apron. I feel very 1950s housewife when I do, but otherwise I'd get food all over myself!

  25. I really love the colours you're wearing here. I'm still on the look out for the perfect pair of white jeans !! There's something to calming about a pastel palette. I need to add some more to my wardrobe (which is mainly full of black)!
