Another striped sweater

I did a poor job of reigning in my shopping during February, in addition to the camel coat and the black booties, I also could not resist this cashmere Joe Fresh striped sweater, which was $40 at TJMaxx, nor these black Old Navy Rockstar jeans, which I picked up for just over $13, and have already worn half a dozen times. There may have also been some grey suede over the knee boots delivered to my house...

But I'm doing much better this month and hope to keep it up. Since it's really too soon to start spring shopping and I'm finally over winter shopping, March is a good month to keep my wallet shut.

  2. OH that bag is soooo good! I know this post is mostly about those jeans, which are great and I love them, but that bag keeps on killing me!

  9. I happen to find all of those totally justifiable purchases. I told myself (and my husband and my mother in law . . .) that after my thrift extravaganza for my birthday last month that I was done shopping and going on a hiatus for six months (originally I said a year, but my mother in law told me to be more realistic and stick to six months) . . . and yet I just got some gladiator sandals and red wellies delivered to me. And I have a couple of plans for my Friday paycheck as well. Sigh. At least we are making good choices right? Love this look!

  10. I know how hard it is to stick to a buget but sometimes you just can't pass up a good buy. The black booties and the rockstar jeans are worth every penny. Shop on. . .

  12. I don't think anyone can own too many striped sweaters. I probably have 7 or 8 in my closet. I am ready to do a little shopping for spring.

  14. This is such a chic outfit! Very timeless. If only I had a camel coat.

Maybe I can try this with my trench coat, although then I do not have a striped sweater... sigh.

  16. The best time to wear a striped sweater is all the time, Lyddie! I cleaned out my closet and got rid of so many striped things for some reason and I need MOAR. Hope you're doing well! I apologize for my lack of comments. Running around in kimonos and the like is taking its toll.

  21. No one can pass up $40 cashmere! ;-)

You look darling. The entire outfit is so chic and classic.

I'm still baffled by the amount of snow you got this winter. I'm sure you're antsy for it all to melt!

  22. I would have bough it too.
and I think that if the jeans have gotten so much wear in little time, they were totally worth it.
I think you look so very classic and picture perfect.

  25. I'm just going to say it. You clearly needed this sweater because it completes this outfit so perfectly. If I lived closer to you, I would be coming over to steal it from you - and your beautiful camel coat, too - so that I could recreate the outfit myself. Since reality is getting in the way of that, I'll be continuing my search for my own camel coat :)
