Plaid keeps you warmer than other prints

It has been below freezing lately. I think the high on the day these photos were taken was 15°, and it's times like these when I question my desire to take outfit photos.

When the nightly news is warning about how quickly you can get frostbite, I should probably be embracing my outerwear as part of my outfit more often than not, but I actually find it harder to make the coat part of the look, and end up just wanting to buy more coats, like this striped one, this black one, and definitely this camel cocoon coat.

I keep wishing for a mild winter, but alas, there is more snow in the forecast.

  5. I'm going to sound crazy but I'd love to have cold cold winters down here in Mexico, I mean we are freezing but not in the way you guys are and I'd love to have some snow, that's all I want! lol I know is not that great when this has to be part of your everyday life but I'd like a winter like yours at least once, cause we get all the low temps, zero snow! What's the fun in that? ... Your scarf that one I adore, so cute and a perfect accessory for all those fab coats!

  6. I can absolutely relate!!!!! It has been pretty decent here in CO (high 40's), but I still have moments like this too. "Am I really doing this? Really?" And do the whole keep the car running, assemble the tripod and camera in the car, get out quick and grab the photos, come back in and thaw fingers dance as well. Sigh. When's summer?

  9. I feel your pain about winter outfit photos - I think we all do. Although it's not quite as cold in the Pacific North West as it seems to be everyday else, we have been under pouring rain for the past several days and there's no sign of it abating. At least you can layer cute scarfs and cosy sweaters when it's cold - even if you are freezing, you're dry and you look fabulous :)

  16. Kudos to to for having the spirit to go out and take pictures in this harsh winter!
I think it would be a good opportunity to showcase your outer wear, don't you think ? Maybe you can also dress up your coats with pins and such... might be fun-
