Fuhgetaboutit

I dream about owning a boat. A sailboat, would be my top choice. I'd have to learn how to sail of course, but the issue I'm most concerned about is what I would name it. Should I choose a female name associated with water like, "Amphitrite"? Or perhaps a fun pun like, "Sail la vie"? A name that speaks to the reason I have a boat like, "My Escape"?

I think I'd choose a funny one. Those are always the most amusing to look at.

  2. Great look, love how you paired the moto vest with the dress. Love it.

A sailboat would be fun, I get motion sickness so my time on a boat would be very limited!

  8. Aw to own a boat would be divine! My dad had a teeny little metal thing and he named it Dana or something like that. It wasn't anything fancy at all, but I do remember the few times I got to go with him on it were so fun. I love your pretty dress and vest today!

  11. I have always dreamed of owning a sailboat. However, that likely isn't a good idea for someone who has no clue how to sail, especially if that person never learned to swim.

Your dress is so pretty. I love the print.

  15. Hehehe, it totally makes sense that you would want to own a boat, Lyddie! Why, you could name it after a reference, like Ursula (heehee), or something dramatic, like Black Storm. Those are all so dark and evil sounding... hahaha. Or you could always go with Sea Bitch, like that one in Game of Thrones... Amphitrite is pretty, though!

Gosh dangit, I don't even want a boat and now I want to think of a name for mine.

Okay. Onto the outfit. You're looking very cute in your gold and white and pink, Lyddie. I will always like that dress and forever be impressed by how many different ways you've come to style it!

  16. I am with you on choosing a sailboat, but then again once I found out how much hard work it is to sail, I'd probably say forgetaboutit!

  21. I think a boat would be so nice while I was sailing, but man... then you have to take of that thing. And dock it and clean it and... I would probably have to hire someone to do all of that.

This dress is one of my favorites!

  27. This post made me laugh - I'm terrifed of boats, and water in general, but I love boat names. We often walk along the canals here and read all of the silly and strange names of French boats. I'm with you - I think the funny ones are best :) And I think your outfit is pretty much perfect for when you do own your boat someday. Such a cute dress!

That dress is gorgeous. I have a question, do you always get things altered? You always look like you had them made for specifically you!
