Tick Tick Tick

When I got the Cavernous Jewelry Box last summer it had something like 20 watches in it. All with dead batteries.

Some I've given away/donated, I think I sold one, and the rest I've just been wearing as I pleased as accessories rather than timepieces.

But I finally decided to spring for the battery for one of them, the seafoam (of course). I'm sure that if I looked up a video on YouTube and figured out how to replace it myself, it would be pretty cheap, but it was only $7 to bring it to the Jewelers, so that is what I did.

Lace + Chambray Lace + Chambray
I won this adorable butterfly bracelet from Dressed Up Alligators giveaway, it certainly does fit my summer accessory uniform, and plays well with all the other colors I love to wear. Thanks Diana!

I'm also pretty pleased with my recent DIY Manni/Peddi combo of Essie's Turquoise and Caicos on my fingers and Sally Hansen's The Real Teal on my toes. So perfect together!

the lace dress is gorgeous. It is so cool how the arms of the clockface are actually ticking in the photo.

I am obsessed with that nail color! I have been looking for the perfect turquoise shade, and I can't find any I like in store!

You picked some awesome accesories to go with this outfit.

I have probably a dozen watches and none of them tell the time. LOL. This one was worth fixing though. And your DIY mani is so fantastic!

Wow, that lace dress is quite a find, and love how you wore the chambray blouse over it. And you always have such amazing jewelry, can I raid your collection some time?

Love the dual shades of turquoise/teal on the toes and fingers. Great idea that I might have to borrow!
And, you've reminded me that I have a few dead watch batteries I need to replace! I only ever use my cellphone as a time piece!

The seafoam was an excellent choice! Lace and chambray are practically perfect together. I'm having major dejà vu right now, maybe I'm developing powers of divination?... at least when it comes to fashion. Huge fan of that art deco-y ring too, and look you made a cinemagraph! I love those!

I probably should not have had that extra espresso in the afternoon...

You look good! Every time I wear a watch the strap eventually breaks because I fiddle with it.

Watch score! I love the pretty blue and how it goes with your nails! I DIY my own nails too but they always look terrible up close, especially the ones I do with my non-writing hand!

such a cute watch, love that color. I have about 3 watches that have needed batteries for about a year. Its one of those things that I always say I will do "next weekend."

silvergirl said...

i just love this look on you
the nail polish is fab, did you use a coat of each diff color?
laughing at wearing watches as jewelry instead of timepieces
it seems all my watches batteries stop working at the exact same time
haven't replaced them in a month but still wearing the watches. lol

Let's get nerdy: I love the picture where your hands are in focus and your feet aren't. You're a brill photographer! Also, the watch gif is so good! It's almost like those cinemagraphs, which I enjoy like a child. :)

Stylewise I love everything turquoise or light blue, so you know I love the outfit. :)

This is a new color combination that I'm really loving--the mint green and orange! I love these colors together!
Is it really that cheap to get a new battery put in a watch? I have about 5 watches that need batteries! (My mom's man has a serious ebay addiction and they keep sending me watches! It's funny, and cool, but they rarely work!)
