Classic Blazer

Today is the Everybody, Everywhere Classic Blazer challenge, and I decided to go with this MaxMara blazer I found second hand which feels very classic to me. It also feels very much like menswear, even though the screaming pink silk lining might prove contradictory.
Classic Blazer

The lace dress makes me feel as though I were at a party and caught a chill and a gentleman offered me his jacket.

So that didn't really say 'Office' to me and I decided to give it even more of a menswear feel with oxfords and play up the 'office' elements with a simple bun and tiny pearl studs.

Hopefully I don't look like I was out all night partying and running to work in my same dress because it's all I had to wear...

  7. This dress is incredible and one can see that even from a distance but what I like about the blazer is that it is subtle and very stylish...all those thin stripes and the hot pink lining really does it for me. :) It's a great piece Lyddie.

  25. That is such a darling dress. Your comment about appearing as if partying all night and then saved by a blazer from a gentleman made me laugh. Love the balance of feminineness and professionalism in this outfit.

  30. not "office" at all! i love how the lace makes you feel like a gentleman gave you his jacket--isn't it interesting how clothes totally can give us a "background story," even if just in our imaginations? a fabulous ensemble. really.

  34. Whoaaaa I love the lining!! I don't think anyone would have looked at you and thought craaaaaazyyy partier she totally wore that out last night (although I'm pretty sure people think that about me sometimes)-- the bun and the pearls and oxfords ground the dress. I like the cool stripes on the blazer too, just noticed that in the last photo!
