Hold Still

A quarter of a second is a lot longer than you think it is.
Fighting darkness and rain once again to take my outfit photos. It is going to be a long winter.

Hold Still

Long exposures can be cool, maybe I should just take two second exposures of myself jumping up and down. Sure, you wont be able to make out what I'm wearing, but who cares about that anyway?
Oh right, you do!
Never mind, I guess I'll have to buy an external flash or something.

The little one is actually a clip on earring!

The Rundown
Cardigan TJMaxx - Skirt NY&Co. - Sandals Onex - Scarf Thrifted - Belt Gap - Pins Thrifted, Mom's, Cavernous Jewelry Box

Don't ask me what I was doing poking around Express.com, I have no good excuse. These are some things I happened to fall in love with, and I'll pretend that I can buy them. Maybe they will be on sale in November...

It seems I have a huge soft spot for silk. And what a great way to mix the military trend with something so uber feminine.

I'm smitten with this super pale pink shade they call conch. And Dolman sleeves. Of course it looks amazing with this grey pencil skirt (but I've already got one of those).

Hello sweatshirt blazer. We never did get together last fall. This year perhaps?

This is all very wishful thinking, of course -- the military shirt would have to be at least half off before I would even consider buying it, but that doesn't mean I wont be on the look out for something similar... maybe for $6 in the thrift store...

I love the scarf. I want silk scarves to come back in a big way! I've been trying to find new ways to wear/tie them. And I love the collection of pins, very fun!

  5. Okay, I'm in love with that cardigan of yours! I moved out to Nebraska in April and the only TJ Maxx nearby is something of a dud. We have a decent Marshalls, but I'm desperately missing my good TJ Maxx from back in Chicago! Oh, and I love the little embellishment with the pins. That's such a cute idea.

  21. I love your idea of using earrings as brooches. Why not? The cluster really adds to the outfit - makes it unique and look higher end.

From your last post - my hard drive was getting crazily full too. But now I delete all the pics I don't use.

  24. I really love that skirt.

I saw some similar shirts when I was thrifting the other day - unfortunately they were either not in my size or stained (still heartbroken about that). I'd say you could totally find a military style shirt at the thrift store.

  32. Such an adorable look! I'm sorry that its still all rainy and icky! You can send some of it over here in a box/snowglobe? :DDD

I like the little puffy sleeves of yours, they're super magical, and your polka dotty scarf. And an earring as a pin is so super clever, plus it made your pins the magical number of three! How very lovely.

I like that sweatshirt blazer. I saw this awesome jacket on modcloth that I wanted but it's 200 dollars.. maybe it will go on sale?! I doubt it because its amazing.
