Autumn leaves are falling, and there's nothing I can do

It looks like the after work photo taking party is over. Which is unfortunate, since I've been running late every morning since the sun stopped rising before 7 am. Oh how I hate the shortening of days!

I'd been waiting for the fall to wear this dress again, I love it layered with the purple.

I have a new color infatuation, seafoam green. I don't have much in the color; all I could find were these earrings. I took a head shot today, but it's awful, so here is one from June.

I haven't been seeing too much seafoam in stores; there is this ruffled cardigan in the Gap, which I tried on, and surprisingly hated.

It looks grey in the photo, but it's very much seafoam in reality.
Something about the combination of cotton ruffles on the knit, with buttons... it just felt awkward. And apparently I looked like a clown, according to my sister. (Not the first time she's told me that...)

But there are lots of other things in seafoam that are intriguing me. And I might be wanting to incorporate more of it into my closet. It's not really what I would consider an autumnal color, yet these looks really make work for fall.

Other than the first image from Lucky Magazine, I'm once again a failure with the sources. If you know any let me know.
When you save things to your inspiration folders, do you rename them with where they are from? Because my folder is a mess of cryptic file names like "img6627qg" and more often than not, 10 minutes after I save it I've forgotten where I found it. Oops.

  1. I love the outfit with the seafoam color pumps, it's so retro. I do rename the pictures with the name of the blog where I got it from just to make sure I give them credit, I have recently strated doing that though, I didn't before and I was worried I was going to get in trouble for not naming the sources. =D

  6. So this color is called 'seaform'? I always called it mint. I also tried this ruffle sweater from Gap. I liked it but the price range was a bit higher for me. I might shot at the sale if they reserve my size.

  7. SEAFOAMMM. The color of my bedroom walls! I have some shoes that color, too, yup yup. But they're really pointy and high and uncomfortable. Yet I still bought them. Poor shoes, getting no use.

Your seafoam earrings are just adorable! I also like that necklace of yours and the pretty neck of your blazer. :) You so cute. <3

  8. Seafoam is a color I had never considered for fall, but these photos (your headshot included) are inspiration enough!

And where in the world is that necklace from in the second photo? It's completely fab!

  13. Nice photos lady! The clocks go back on Sunday here, meaning some more light in the evenings but dark in the morning. I have to rename files for inspiration, otherwise they disappear into my hard drive!

  15. I'm totally digging that dress with the purple jacket! I love the idea of seafoam, but I just never think it looks good on me in reality.

  16. I had trouble with saving my inspiration photos too because I get too lazy to rename each of them with the name of the source and the designer, etc. So I've been using Tumblr to collect all my favorite photos online. It's way easier!

I love that color, which is kind of like a lighter version of mint, maybe? My favorite blouse (which is on my header) has that color!

It's too bad that it is getting harder to take photos during fall-winter seasons :-/ I think fall clothes are the best to take photos of!

  21. I don't have an inspiration folder. :( I did mark that same image from Lucky in my magazine, though. LOVE IT! My photos have similar names and I never know where to find them. I should fix that...

That dress does look great with the purple and seafoam.

  22. I've been wondering what other bloggers do when it starts to get dark earlier. I cringe at the idea of getting up before work to take photos. It's really getting me down that I can't take photos after work anymore. I'm just going to have to rely on weekend photos and branch out to other content!

  28. Seafoam is just such a pretty color. It's really hard to find, unfortunately. BUT whatever you do find, would be sweet to also pair with coral in the spring/summer months. One of my favorite color combinations!
